Qualifications

• Perform substantive risk assessments to determine materiality and identify processes to test.
• Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, identify deficiencies, and recommend actions.
• Apply OMB Circular A-123 to assess and strengthen the agency control environment.
• Oversee corrective action planning, tracking, and monitoring, supporting annual Statements of Assurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based testing to assess financial and operational controls.
• Evaluate control design and operation to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Lead in developing and implementing internal controls policies and procedures.
• Brief senior executives on program operations and governance matters.
• Support or lead the agency's annual assurance processes.
