Job summary

Hallmark Cards is seeking a Compliance professional to own and maintain our management systems and embed them across the supply chain. You will translate standards into practical working practices, train colleagues, and guide teams to sustain improvements.

You will coordinate external audits, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with auditors to ensure ongoing compliance and stakeholder confidence.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in quality/quality management systems.
• Internal auditor qualification to ISO9001 is essential.
• Experience with BRCGS consumer products and ethical audits essential.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain certified management systems (ISO9001, BRCGS, Smeta/ETI base code, FSC, ISO14001, H&S).

Job description

We're looking for someone who's passionate about doing things properly. This role is all about making sure our certified management systems are not only maintained, but understood, embedded and used to drive real improvement across our supply chain. You'll be the go-to person for all things compliance, working across teams to translate standards into practical ways of working. You'll guide, train and influence others to see the value in doing things well - and help us stay ahead of customer expectations, audit requirements and internal KPIs. What you'll be doing

• Own and maintain our certified management systems across ISO9001, BRCGS, Smeta/ETI base code, FSC, ISO14001 and H&S.
• Make sure customer and licensor requirements are clearly understood and built into how we work.
• Plan and manage external audits across our supply chain sites, ensuring successful outcomes and ongoing compliance.
• Use internal audits and system outputs to check compliance and drive continual improvement.
• Work with senior leaders to advise on compliance and quality matters.
• Train and support colleagues across the business to embed agreed processes and manage non-conformance effectively.
• Collaborate with third-party audit bodies and internal teams to keep everything running smoothly.

• Degree-level education or formal qualifications in quality management systems (ISO9001) - essential
• Internal auditor qualification to ISO9001 - essential
• Experience with BRCGS consumer products and ethical audits (Smeta/ETI base code) - essential
• Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environments - desirable
• Strong organisational skills, tenacity and a drive to see things through - essential
• Excellent communication and training skills - essential
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence others - essential
