Latham & Watkins is seeking an Internal Communications Senior Manager to join the Brand and Communications team in New York. The role combines strategic advisory, mentorship, and leadership, driving brand initiatives and optimizing internal channels with a hybrid in-office presence.

The ideal candidate will bring a decade of experience designing internal campaigns, strong writing and editorial skills, and the ability to lead teams while partnering with AI and technology groups on large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with coursework in English/Creative Writing, Communications, or Marketing.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing internal campaigns for varied employee groups or clients.
• Experience managing and developing direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal communications programs to enhance firm reputation across channels.
• Advise, mentor, and manage teams; develop strategy and editorial calendars.
• Oversee AI-enabled tools and AI initiatives across practice groups.

About The Role

The Internal Communications Senior Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Brand and Communications team. This role will be responsible for acting as a strategic advisor, manager, and mentor, while designing and leading brand initiatives, including providing expert, strategic counsel regarding current internal communication channels and recommending new ones. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with creative and video teams to create compelling visual and multimedia elements into communications
• Developing and executing internal communications programs to enhance the reputation and awareness of firm programs across all internal channels
• Providing creative thinking and strategy consulting, including comprehensive editorial calendars, internal product/service launches, awareness campaigns, issues promotion, and special projects
• Developing and supervising their team by performing a multitude of responsibilities, including but not limited to strategy development, hiring, mentoring, assignment, training, and evaluation
• Reviewing and analyzing data to measure effectiveness, impact, and engagement of communications programs and special projects
• Work across large scale AI initiatives, champion AI-enabled tools and workflows across practice groups, partner with AI and Technology teams as needed
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Qualifications & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with significant coursework in English or Creative Writing, Communications, or Marketing, preferably
• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience developing internal campaigns for varied employee groups or clients
• A minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative experience
• Background knowledge and experience in the law, preferably
• Experience managing and developing direct reports, preferably

Pay Range

USD $195,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.
