Job summary

Interboro School District Glenolden School is seeking an After School Running Club Coordinator to provide a positive running experience for students and promote fitness, goal setting, and healthy habits.

The role supports after-school programming in Glenolden, PA, is open to current district employees, and will require supervision, safety leadership, and effective communication with school staff and families. Immediate start is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate running, jogging, walking, stretching, and fitness activities.
• Teach proper warm-up, cool-down, pacing, and basic running techniques.
• Encourage students to set individual fitness and running goals and monitor their progress.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, perseverance, and a positive attitude toward physical activity.
• Modify activities as needed to accommodate students of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
• Establish and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Clearly communicate behavioral, safety, and participation expectations.
• Supervise students throughout all Running Club activities and during dismissal.
• Monitor weather and outdoor conditions and adjust activities when necessary for student safety.
• Communicate with school administration regarding student concerns, safety issues, or program needs.
