Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. seeks an Audit Associate to support internal and subsidiary audits in Fort Wayne, IN. You will perform audit procedures under direct supervision, test accounting controls, gather evidence, and prepare workpapers.

The role requires a BA in Accounting, CPA exam eligibility, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to travel about 20%. You will develop understanding of risks and controls across functions and interact with management to discuss findings.

Qualifications

• BA / BS degree in Accounting
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam
• Relevant core competencies, including time management, organization, project management and multi-tasking
• Strong analytical and issue identification, prioritization and resolution skills
• Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Dedication to detail and ensuring accuracy of work product
• Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform job function safely in various work environments
