Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking an Internal Auditor I to perform financial, operational, and compliance audits in rolling Meadows, IL. This onsite role focuses on executing audit engagements, validating controls, and supporting SOX testing within budgets and schedules.

The candidate will engage with business processes, build client relationships, and pursue professional certifications while contributing to a safe and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in auditing, accounting, finance, risk, or business consulting roles.
• Construction experience is a plus.
• Accounting skills are a plus.
• Knowledge/experience with AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit engagements and evaluate processes to identify risks and controls.
• Apply audit methodology techniques in practical scenarios.
• Lead discussions to understand business processes, systems, and applications.
• Assist in preparing audit reports and communicating findings.
• Perform annual SOX 404 testing and validate control effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support audit reviews.
• Pursue professional certifications and ongoing education.
