Job summary

The Administrative Office of the Courts in Frankfort, KY, is seeking an Internal Auditor to support the Judicial Branch with internal audits and controls. You will assist in audit planning, examine financial documents, conduct interviews, and prepare recommendations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting, four years of auditing experience, and a valid driver's license; CPA or CIA may substitute for the experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 20 semester hours or 30 quarter hours in accounting.
• Four years job-related auditing experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• CPA or CIA may substitute for four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of audit plans and methods for internal audits.
• Examine financial documents, accounting records, bank statements, computer records and other records for internal controls and compliance.
• Conduct interviews with AOC personnel and other KCOJ officials.
• Conduct testing and prepare recommendations from audit work.
• Communicate with management during audits and evaluate corrective actions taken.
• Demonstrate proficiency in statistics, data mining and forensic auditing.
• Other duties as assigned.
