Job summary

Air Products in Allentown, PA, seeks an Internal Auditor to partner with stakeholders across the organization, evaluate financial controls, and support business success. You will lead audit engagements across finance, operations, and systems, delivering actionable recommendations and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree and 2+ years in engineering, IT, sourcing, or operations, with strong Excel skills and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, supply chain, IT, finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering, digital tech, sourcing, procurement or operations.
• Basic Excel knowledge (formulas, pivot tables, graphs).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Air Products is seeking a highly motivated Internal Auditor to join our team in Allentown, PA. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate financial controls, business processes, and operational effectiveness, helping to identify opportunities, manage risk, and support business success. As an Internal Auditor, you will lead and execute a variety of audit engagements across Air Products' global operations, including finance, business processes, software systems, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for conducting thorough and well-organized audits, delivering clear and actionable recommendations, and communicating findings to key stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to diverse business functions while contributing to the continued growth, efficiency, and integrity of the organization. As a trusted partner to senior leaders across Industrial Gases, Product Delivery Organization, Digital Technology, Finance, Legal, and other business functions, you will provide assurance and recommendations on a myriad of business processes, relating to measurable business value. This position plays a critical role in providing assurance, identifying and mitigating risk, and supporting business objectives through strategic, best-in-class auditing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop audit engagement scopes of limited to moderate complexity, relying on knowledge of Air Products business developments/structure, challenges.
• Develop robust risk and control matrixes and audit testing procedures for audit engagements, relying on knowledge of Air Products core business risks (both inherit and emerging).
• Execute audit engagements of limited to moderate complexity, adhering to all internal and external audit work process standards.
• Interpret and organize information from audit engagements in a comprehensive, concise report, articulating observations, root causes, business risks, and relevant recommendations.
• Deliver report information in a professional manner to stakeholders.
• Identify control techniques from a process walkthrough (observation) and evaluate the control's ability to mitigate identified risks.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley testing of relevant controls using established templates but relying on analytical abilities and control understanding.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Engineering, Digital Technology, Sourcing, Procurement, or Operations.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA are preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, graphs)
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret policies, process documentation and procedures to determine compliance and identify areas of risk or noncompliance.
• Demonstrated basic data analytic techniques to extrapolate trends and observations from data.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and use relevant software required to complete an audit engagement or SOX testing’s.
• Understanding of simple project management concepts and techniques to deliver on objectives.
• Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously, in various project/program stages.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
