Job summary

Hanami International is exclusively retained to find a French-speaking Internal Auditor Manager for a maternity cover (~9-10 months) starting Dec/Jan. The role is entirely remote with around 20% travel to France and Switzerland.

You will report to the Head of Audit and Risk, overseeing end-to-end group audits and ad-hoc projects, liaising with internal stakeholders and guiding co-sourced resources to strengthen controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Finance/accountancy/audit professional experience within an audit function, from practice (Big 4 or Top 10), from industry or a mix of the two.
• Fluent English and French is essential; knowledge of German and/or Dutch would be helpful but is not essential.

Job description

We have been exclusively retained by a FTSE listed commercial business to help them find a French-speaking Internal Auditor Manager, as maternity cover for 9-10 months, starting in December/January. Turning over more than £3bn, the company is one of the leaders in its industry and employs people throughout Europe.

This role is entirely remote (with around 20% travel to France, and Switzerland), so you can be based anywhere you choose (preferably in the UK/Ireland, but other locations in mainland Europe are possible too - just tell us where you want to be based!).

Reporting directly to the Head of Audit and Risk, who in turn reports to the Board & the Audit Committee (AC), you will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end Group-wide financial and operation audits and ad-hoc projects across all of the Group businesses, as part of the annual audit plan as well as managing the co-source delivered projects.

To be successful in this role you will need to liaise and build relationships with internal stakeholders and work collaboratively with business leaders, acting as an ambassador to the audit team to promote a culture of continuous improvement for processes and controls. You will also need to be comfortable in working autonomously, with limited supervision and guide the co-sourced or guest audit resource through projects, with the aim of mitigating or removing risks going forward.
