Job summary

Coinbase is offering a 12-week Internal Audit Analytics Intern internship for Summer 2027 in a hybrid NYC setting. You will join the Internal Audit Data Analytics Team to support data-driven testing of controls across Coinbase's global technology and crypto-native products.

You will extract, analyze, and validate datasets, translating requests into SQL-based extracts and actionable findings for the audit team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, CS, Statistics, or related field.
• Demonstrated SQL proficiency with large datasets.
• Familiarity with data ETL concepts and data movement.
• Experience presenting data findings to non-technical audiences.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Write SQL queries against Snowflake to assess internal controls.
• Build continuous auditing processes and AI tooling.
• Test system changes and document results.
• Produce data extracts and reports for stakeholders.
• Validate ETL data from production to repository and outputs.
