Ziegler Inc. seeks an Intern Welder at our Minnesota shop to gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel engines and equipment in a training-friendly setting.

You will work with senior technicians, learn troubleshooting and repair skills, and contribute to a clean, safe work environment while developing real-world mechanical abilities in diesel, construction, or agricultural equipment.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics.
• Maintain good grades and receive strong instructor recommendations.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.
• Own a mechanic tool set.
• Commitment to a safe, clean work environment.
• This role is safety-sensitive and requires a pre-employment drug test.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 lbs and standing for long periods.

As a Ziegler Intern Technician, you will assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines, construction or agriculture equipment in a shop environment. You will learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed. **Qualifications:*** Be currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics or related study* Maintain good grades* Receive positive recommendations from instructors* Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player* Own mechanic tool set* Ability to maintain safe and clean work environment* This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement### **Minimum Physical Requirements:*** Push/pull up to 50 lbs* Lift/carry up to 60 lbs* Lift bulky objects* Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.* Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
