Responsibilities

• Support procurement and sourcing activities for a growing portfolio of projects.
• Assist with supplier onboarding, qualification processes and contract management.
• Create and maintain purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers, project managers and internal stakeholders for on-time delivery.
• Perform data entry and analyze resulting reports.
• Attend project site visits and travel as required.
• Support bid event lifecycles, including Q&A coordination and bid submissions.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and report findings.
• Gather market intelligence on supply markets and input cost drivers.
• Research suppliers focusing on financial health and past performance.
• Contribute to team initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Student Intern to support procurement, sourcing, supplier management and contract administration activities across a growing portfolio of projects. This opportunity will provide hands‑on experience working with suppliers, project teams and internal stakeholders while contributing to the timely and cost‑effective delivery of business initiatives.

The Student Intern will gain exposure to procurement processes, contract management, supplier qualification, market intelligence, bid event coordination and supply market analysis while helping support efficient project execution.

What you'll do

• Support procurement and sourcing activities for a growing portfolio of projects to help ensure scalable and timely project delivery
• Assist with supplier onboarding, supplier qualification processes and contract management activities
• Support the creation and maintenance of purchase orders and related procurement documentation
• Collaborate with suppliers, project managers and internal stakeholders to support on‑time and on‑budget project delivery
• Perform data entry activities and analyze resulting reports
• Participate in project site visits and walkthroughs, including travel to project locations as required
• Support the management of bid event lifecycles, including question and answer coordination, clarification communications, supplemental bid information and bid submission instructions
• Identify, analyze and report cost‑saving opportunities
• Gather, analyze and distribute market intelligence on supply markets, competitive trends, innovations, alternatives and input cost drivers
• Conduct supplier research, including analysis of financial health, capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and past performance
• Contribute to team initiatives, team events and collaborative stakeholder engagement activities
• Provide support on special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Supply Chain Management or related degree programme
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
• Returning to full‑time studies immediately following the work term
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of procurement, sourcing or supply chain management principles
• Experience with data analysis, reporting and research activities
• Exposure to supplier management, contract administration or purchasing processes through coursework, projects or previous work experience
• Understanding of market intelligence gathering and supply market analysis
• Previous internship, co‑op or project experience in business, procurement or supply chain environments
• Demonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting

• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
