Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a passionate Analyst to join the Technical Operations Analytics team. You will turn data into information and information into insights to drive decisions across maintenance planning, supply chain, and engineering, supporting United’s fleet performance.

This paid internship offers mentorship, exposure to data visualization tools like PowerBI, and opportunities to impact real-world aviation operations. Applications accepted Sept 1–Sept 15, 2026.

Qualifications

• Understanding of data visualization standard processes.
• Intellectual curiosity for working with data.
• Query, transform and model data in a quantitative analysis software package or language (SQL, Python, etc.).
• Visualize data relevantly to tell a story.

• Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.

The Technical Operations Analytics team is looking for a passionate Analyst to turn data into information and information into insights to drive business decisions. The group strives to get the right work done on the right aircraft at the right location at the right time. To do this, we partner with business experts to pursue analytical opportunities within maintenance planning, supply chain, aircraft engineering, maintenance execution, and maintenance programs, among other areas. We are seeking creative, driven, and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling complex problems quantitatively. Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and the ability to leverage AI effectively to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Applies critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies related to responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.

The starting rate for this role is $20.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
