Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, is offering a 2027 Summer Internship in Supply Chain/Procurement in Salina, KS. Interns will work full-time on-site from mid-May to early August and earn $20 per hour. Housing is provided for those living outside the Salina area.

Interns will complete a project with a mentor and participate in team activities with other interns. The role places you in the Corporate Purchasing Department, focusing on projects related to supply chain or procurement for

Qualifications

• Current college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Lean Engineering or similar discipline
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of the Salina, KS area
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to the Salina area for Summer
• Housing provided within 20 miles of the location if needed
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours/week) during Summer
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screening within first week
• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States (I-9) required on first day
• Completed at least 30 college credit hours by start of internship
• Self-motivated with good project management and organization skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and a positive, collaborative attitude
• Ability to work with engineers and production floor teams
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

2027 Summer Intern - Supply Chain / Procurement

Salina, KS

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, is currently taking applications for our 2027 Summer Internship Program. These internships will be on-site in the Salina, KS area.

Our Summer Interns work full-time from Mid‑May to Early‑August and earn $20 per hour. Engineering interns enjoy a 4‑day work week with a work schedule of Monday to Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Housing is provided for interns who currently reside outside the Salina, KS area.

Each of our Summer Interns complete a project with a mentor and supportive peers, allowing them to apply their college knowledge in the workplace and gain practical work experience. We also organize activities during the summer to give you the opportunity to get to know other interns and Great Plains employees through casual events like laser tag, paintball, bowling, and community events.

Our Supply Chain/Procurement Interns will be assigned to work with our Corporate Purchasing Department in Salina, KS and work on a project that relates to Supply Chain or Procurement as it pertains to the manufacturing of agricultural or construction equipment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Current college student working toward a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Lean Engineering or similar discipline
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of the assigned location
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to the Salina, KS area and commute to and from work and activities throughout the Summer
• Housing will be provided within a 20-mile radius of your assigned location, if needed.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical examination and drug screening test within a week of your first day of employment
• Providing, upon your first day of employment, satisfactory proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States, and your completion of an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9
• Completed at least 30 credit hours by beginning of internship
• Self‑motivated with good project management, organization and planning skills
• Ability to communicate plans and information in a concise, effective manner in both verbal and written forms
• Exhibit a willingness to learn
• Critical thinking skills and a positive approach to solving problems
• Team player mindset and outstanding interpersonal skills
• Ability to work closely with other engineers as well as team members on the production floor
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
