Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, offers a 2027 Summer Internship in Salina, KS, focused on Supply Chain/Procurement. Interns work on-site full-time from mid-May to early-August and earn $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Willingness to live within commuting distance
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation to commute to Salina, KS area
• Housing provided within 20 miles of location if needed
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer
• Pre-employment physical examination and drug screening within a week of first day
• Proof of identity and work authorization in the United States (I-9)
• Completed at least 30 credit hours by internship start
• Self-motivated with good project management, organization and planning skills
• Ability to communicate plans clearly in verbal and written form
• Willingness to learn
• Critical thinking and a positive problem-solving approach
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills

2027 Summer Intern - Supply Chain / Procurement

Salina, KS

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, is currently taking applications for our 2027 Summer Internship Program.

These internships will be on-site in the Salina, KS area.

Our Summer Interns work full-time from Mid-May to Early-August and earn $20 per hour.

Engineering interns enjoy a 4-day work week with a work schedule of Monday to Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Housing is provided for interns who currently reside outside the Salina, KS area.

Each of our Summer Interns complete a project with a mentor and supportive peers, allowing them to apply their college knowledge in the workplace and gain practical work experience.

We also organize activities during the summer to give you the opportunity to get to know other interns and Great Plains employees through casual events like laser tag, paintball, bowling, and community events.

Supply Chain/Procurement Interns

will be assigned to work with our Corporate Purchasing Department in Salina, KS and work on a project that relates to Supply Chain or Procurement as it pertains to the manufacturing of agricultural or construction equipment.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Current college student working toward a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Lean Engineering or similar discipline
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of the assigned location
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to the Salina, KS area and commute to and from work and activities throughout the Summer
• Housing will be provided within a 20-mile radius of your assigned location, if needed.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening test within a week of your first day of employment
• Providing, upon your first day of employment, satisfactory proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States, and your completion of an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9
• Completed at least 30 credit hours by beginning of internship
• Self-motivated with good project management, organization and planning skills
• Ability to communicate plans and information in a concise, effective manner in both verbal and written forms
• Exhibit a willingness to learn
• Critical thinking skills and a positive approach to solving problems
• Team player mindset and outstanding interpersonal skills
• Ability to work closely with other engineers as well as team members on the production floor
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
