Job summary

Satterfield and Pontikes Construction, Inc. offers a Construction Management Internship to gain hands-on experience in field and office operations.

You will work with seasoned Project Managers and Superintendents on active projects, developing skills in project management, scheduling, and field safety. Interns participate in training sessions covering estimating, PM practices, scheduling, VDC/BIM, and documentation control, while contributing to project goals and milestones on a busy Texas job

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with daily construction management activities.
• Support document control, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Participate in jobsite safety initiatives and quality control processes.
• Conduct field observations, safety walks, and punch list inspections.
• Attend project meetings and collaborate with project teams to support project goals and milestones.
• Assist with scheduling, project tracking, and coordination efforts.
• Participate in intern training sessions focused on estimating, project management, scheduling, VDC/BIM, and field operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking motivated Construction Management Interns to gain hands-on experience in both field and office operations. This internship provides exposure to all phases of commercial construction while working alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and other construction professionals.
