Nevada State University seeks an Intern – School of Nursing Operations Assistant to support events, alumni engagement, communications, recruitment, and operational tasks within the School of Nursing.

This role offers flexible 10 hours per week, at an hourly rate of $12. The intern will work with the Dean's office and SON staff, gaining hands-on experience in program development and community outreach.

• Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.

Core Responsibilities

• Events: Support the planning and execution of multiple events throughout the year. This will include spreadsheet organization, marketing support including communications and social media. Connected to these events will be program develop. Help develop programs to engage students and alumni in the professional development events we will implement. Flyer creation may be a part of this work as well as survey management.
• Alumni and friends Operations: Support the management of the alumni committee and alumni ambassadors. Take notes, organize spreadsheets, documents, files. Attend alumni committee meetings. Support assistant Dean in implementing effective alumni engagement. Support in sending out communications, social media posts, etc. Also checking feedback surveys and website updates
• Communications and community relations: Support SON communication efforts to help increase awareness in the community about the school of nursing. This may include website research, community outreach through different forms of communication, document development, etc.
• Recruitment and marketing support: Support marketing and recruitment efforts for SON. This will include idea generation, spreadsheet tracking, email communications, word document management. Flyer creation may be a part of this work as well as survey management.
• Operational Support: Provide support to various operational needs. This will include data management, spreadsheet tracking, email communication, social media communication, document management, etc.
