MissionTech, Sandia's ND&S Mission Technologies internship program, seeks motivated undergrad students in mechanical, electrical, and computer science to join for a year‑round internship focused on engineering design, development, and product testing on mission‑critical projects.

You will partner with ND& S teams to apply foundational engineering skills in a real national security context, with hands‑on work across hardware and software domains.

Qualifications

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program.
• Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Note: If you have not earned a HS diploma or equivalent, please apply to a high school intern position.

Responsibilities

MissionTech, Sandia's Nuclear Deterrence and Science (ND&S) Mission Technologies student program, is seeking motivated mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science undergrad students to join us for a year-round internship. With a technical focus in engineering design, component/subsystem development, and product testing, you will partner with ND&Ss teams to collaborate on real mission-related deliverables. On any given day, you may be called on to:

Salary Range:

Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. MissionTech is an internship program that serves the Nuclear Deterrence and Science (ND&S) mission at Sandia National Laboratories. Security Clearance:
