Hitachi Rail is seeking a motivated Quality Control Intern for Summer 2027 in Batesburg, SC. The role supports the Quality team with data analysis, inspections, audits, and documentation management to sustain product and process quality.

You will gain hands-on experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and manufacturing quality processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year university with an expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Dec 2028.
• Academic focus in Quality Management or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quality inspections and verification for incoming materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Support investigations of quality issues and customer complaints; collect and report data.
• Maintain quality records and participate in internal audits and CAPA activities.
• Analyze quality performance data and help drive continuous improvement projects.
• Support compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Hiring for May 2027 through August 2027.Position SummaryThe Quality Intern supports the Quality team in maintaining product and process quality standards through data analysis, inspections, audits, documentation management, and continuous improvement activities.
