Job summary

Cagayan State University in Boise, Idaho is seeking a software test engineer to develop, debug, and support test programs for new product introductions through high-volume manufacturing. You will write test programs in C++ and Python and use AI tools to boost debugging, data analysis, and productivity.

Collaborate with Product Engineering, Fab, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to define next-generation design-for-test capabilities and to make data-driven coverage decisions that balance test time

Qualifications

Job description

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Develop, debug, and support test programs from new product introduction through high volume manufacturing
• Write test programs and support scripts in C++ and Python
• Utilize AI and Generative AI tools to enhance software development, test program debugging, data analysis, technical problem solving, and engineering productivity
• Provide input to define next generation 'design for test' capabilities
• Analyze device and test flow data, including AI-enabled methods, to make informed test coverage decisions
• Balance test time objectives while maintaining optimal yield and quality
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Fab, Manufacturing, Yield Enhancement, Global Quality, Systems Integration Group, and Equipment Engineering teams to deliver effective test solutions

About You

The company is looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Understanding of resistance, inductance, capacitance (R/L/C) circuit concepts, digital systems, logic gates, and CMOS transistor operation
• Intermediate or advanced programming skills in C++ or Python
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and basic statistics and data analytics
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience applying electrical circuit and CMOS fundamentals to hardware testing, characterization, or troubleshooting
• Experience developing, debugging, or maintaining engineering or test software using C++ or Python
• Experience analyzing engineering or test data using statistical methods
• Experience with software development and data-analysis workflows in Unix/Linux environments
• Proficiency using AI or Generative AI tools to support technical problem solving, software development, data analysis, or engineering productivity
