Job summary

LPU Batangas is seeking an ambitious undergraduate to join its packaging team on a multi-phase industrial project. You will contribute to design, analysis, and documentation under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in mechanical, industrial, or packaging systems engineering, preferably with packaging emphasis.
• Effective oral and written communication across project disciplines.
• Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• 2D CAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging team across FEL/FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.
• Assist in packaging system design and integration, including line speed analysis and layouts.
• Collaborate on budgets and schedules with technical leads and project management.
• Generate equipment performance requirements and participate in vendor tests and trials.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation such as PFDs, equipment lists, and reports.

Job description

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Serve as part of the packaging team on complex, fully integrated projects across phases including FEL/FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning Support.
• Support the technical lead in packaging systems design and integration, including line and equipment speed analysis, pack out matrix, block flow and general arrangement layout drawings, equipment lists, utility demand matrices, and procurement specifications/approvals.
• Collaborate with technical leads and project management to develop packaging system budgets and schedules.
• Generate equipment performance requirements and participate in vendor factory acceptance tests, reviews, and trials under senior guidance.
• Contribute to estimating tasks, develop scope of work, and prepare small proposals with senior member support.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation such as process flow diagrams, equipment lists, and project reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, industrial, or packaging systems engineering, preferably with an emphasis on packaging systems.
• Effective oral and written communication skills to support coordination across project disciplines and present project materials.
• Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• 2D CAD experience is a plus.
• Technical writing skills for documents such as technical specifications and scope of work.
• Ability to learn about and evaluate processing and packaging operations to suggest solutions that improve productivity and provide ROI.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Periodic overnight travel to jobsites with potential undeveloped terrain traversal.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, talking, and hearing.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
• Work is generally in a normal office environment with moderate noise and controlled temperature/humidity.
• Overtime may be required.
