OCTA in Orange County, CA seeks a College Intern to support the Mobility Management Programs within the Operations Division. You will assist with data analysis, reporting, and project tracking while collaborating with transportation professionals.

This year-round, paid internship is approximately 20 hours per week (not to exceed 1,000 hours in 12 months) and provides mentorship, coursework relevance, and opportunities to develop practical public transportation experience.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled full-time as a freshman to senior in a four-year college.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the department’s business.
  • Strong analytical, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day Mobility Management Programs activities and initiatives.
  • Assist with preparing reports, presentations, spreadsheets, tracking tools.
  • Track program activities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Document project updates and action items in meetings.
  • Collaborate with staff and stakeholders on program activities.

Job DescriptionCollege Intern – Mobility Management ProgramsStart building your career while helping support mobility options throughout Orange County! As a College Intern supporting OCTA’s Mobility Management Programs section within the Operations Division, you’ll work alongside transportation professionals and gain practical experience supporting programs and projects that help connect people with transportation services and mobility solutions.OCTA's College Intern Program is a year-round paid student/intern program. You will gain real-world work experience on meaningful projects under the guidance of experienced transportation professionals. You will have opportunities to strengthen your problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills while benefiting from mentorship, career development, and internal networking.The pay range is $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on education level. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.
