Job summary

Labcorp invites motivated students to join the Litholink team as Lab Intern in Itasca, IL. This 11‑week, full‑time paid internship provides exposure to diagnostic workflows, specimen handling, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.

Eligible candidates are rising juniors or seniors pursuing relevant degree programs, with strong attention to detail and a readiness to learn in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm / 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities

Internship Details

• Duration: 11 weeks, full‑time
• Dates of Internship: June 1st – August 13th, 2027
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Pay Range

$17.75-22/hr

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including the above. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
