Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a university with a Finance or Accounting major (Junior or Senior year).
  • Motivated to learn and grow as a finance professional with a positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas) and PowerPoint.
  • Internship experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis is a plus.
  • Familiar with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the financial forecast preparation process, including extracting data for forecast input, analyzing and inputting assumptions, reviewing results, and submitting results to consolidation systems (BPC/OneStream).
  • Assist in the creation of strategy and finance materials for management.
  • Perform research and analysis of market trends, industry developments, competitors, market share, and business unit activities.
  • Assist in ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the FP&A team and Management.

Job Purpose: Join Sony Music Publishing and the FP&A team as an Intern. Develop skills in finance/ accounting and music publishing industry expertise that you will use to support the company’s financial forecasting and analysis.

What You’ll Do

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university with a major in Finance or Accounting (Junior or Senior year)
  • Motivated to learn and grow as a finance professional, and doing so with a positive attitude and work ethic
  • A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Software applications, particularly Excel (familiarity with pivot tables and basic formulas – Vlookup, Hlookup, Sumif, Sumifs, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Ideal candidate will have previous finance, accounting, or business analysis internship experience
  • Familiar with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

The anticipated base hourly for this position is $18. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
