Job summary

NWU in Rochester, NY seeks a data-oriented professional to collaborate with BI engineers and stakeholders. The role focuses on understanding BI needs, building data pipelines, and ensuring data quality to support timely analytics.

You will document technical work using Jira/Confluence and contribute to data governance and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate is pursuing a CS/Math/Physics degree, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with BI Engineer and stakeholders to understand BI needs, gather business requirements, and deliver analytic data products.
• Develop and maintain data quality checks to prevent incomplete or inaccurate data and ensure timeliness and consistency.
• Produce and maintain data architecture and end-to-end pipelines adhering to data engineering principles and business goals.
• Create and deliver technical and project documentation using Jira, Confluence, Git, and other tools.
• Participate in investigation and remediation of issues as required.
• Challenge the status quo by favoring simple and highly impactful solutions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly salary range: $19.00 to $29.50.
• Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Sitting and working at a desk or personal computer for extended periods.
• Primary work environment is a professional corporate office.
