Job summary

Salesforce is seeking entrepreneurial Research Interns for Summer 2027 to help build the next generation of Enterprise AI. You will work like a founder, exploring high‑impact research directions, prototyping AI capabilities, and validating ideas with customers alongside mentors and researchers.

You will collaborate with product, engineering and go‑to‑market teams to translate research into production capabilities used by millions of users.

Qualifications

• Strong publication record at top AI venues or experience translating research into real-world systems.
• Experience with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or DeepSpeed.
• Motivated by real-world impact and scaling research to users at scale.
• You bring expertise in one or more focus areas: Agentic AI & Reasoning, Multimodal & CV, Speech Intelligence, Core Modeling & Post-Training.
• You can conduct research with guidance from mentors and grow toward independence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with research scientists and engineers on projects with real-world product impact, including publication opportunities.
• Explore research directions with potential to transform Enterprise AI.
• Turn promising ideas into AI prototypes and production-ready solutions.
• Build models, agents, and AI systems for enterprise use and collaboration with product teams.
• Learn how research partners with product, engineering, and GTM teams to bring solutions to market.
