Job summary

Sonoco offers a 12-week paid internship across its IPP Division focusing on Technology. Interns gain hands-on projects, exposure to manufacturing and packaging industries, and engagement with Sonoco leadership across ~25 U.S. locations.

Eligible students are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, with prior internship experience and proven leadership. Housing and relocation support are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program with a concentration in Engineering.
• Previous internship experience (preferred in Manufacturing or a functional area).
• Proven leadership experience.
• Technical aptitude and problem solving.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in hands-on projects with industry experts across Sonoco’s enterprise.
• Learn across Sonoco’s functions including manufacturing, process engineering, quality, safety, and supply chain.
• Gain business knowledge and networking opportunities with Sonoco leadership and other interns.
• Participate in housing and activity stipends, relocation assistance, and internships activities.

This internship role will be a part of our IPP Division, focusing on Technology.

Monthly base salary for Undergraduate Business/Non-Technical Degrees:

Senior $4,350

Junior $4,100

Sophomore $3,900

Freshman $3,700
