Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking Intern Engineers for Summer 2027 in Salt Lake City, UT. The program supports Construction Management, Roadway, and Traffic teams.

Interns assist assigned departments with basic engineering tasks and learn through hands-on experience in a leading infrastructure firm. Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited engineering program and have a basic understanding of engineering principles, geometry, algebra, and shop drawing concepts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; enrolled in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Basic understanding of engineering, geometry, and algebra.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to follow directions from peers and supervisors.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams with tasks and duties.
• Support research, development and design activities.
• Prepare drawings/documents as assigned.
• Learn shop drawing and submittal procedures.
