Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Fort Wayne, IN to work on the design and integration of electrical systems for aircraft and ground stations. You will gain exposure to a wide range of tasks across avionics, RF, LAN, data processing, and power distribution while collaborating with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field at an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools.
• Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing and Production to ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Support development of avionics, RF, LAN, data processing, power distribution, and electrical loads analyses, including testing and integration on aircraft.

Job Description:

In this role, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations. Electrical Engineers have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on numerous aircraft platforms.

Essential Functions:

• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design) tool
• Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost
• Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme to name a few, along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on the aircraft

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university.
