Advanced Energy in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to support design, testing, and implementation of power conversion and measurement solutions. You will work with seasoned engineers on product development and engineering analysis.

This internship offers hands-on lab work, opportunities to learn circuitry, modeling, and documentation, with exposure across design, manufacturing, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Coursework in circuits, electronics, signals and systems, power systems, controls, or related subjects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Advanced Energy is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns and Co-op students to support development activities across our North American design sites.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers on the design, testing, and implementation of power conversion, controls, and measurement solutions. Interns will have opportunities to gain hands-on experience in product development, laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and engineering analysis.

This position is located in Eden Prairie, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an intern, you may have the opportunity to:

• Support product development projects as part of a cross-functional engineering team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electrical and Computer Engineering
• Coursework in circuits, electronics, signals and systems, power systems, controls, or related subjects
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

• Laboratory test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, or logic analyzers
• Circuit design and analysis
• MATLAB, Simulink, LTspice, PSpice, or similar engineering tools
• CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB design
• Embedded systems or microcontrollers
• Programming in C, C++, Python, or MATLAB
• Serial communication protocols such as UART, SPI, or I²C

EDUCATION:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldRising sophomore, junior, or senior preferredMinimum GPA of 3.0 preferred

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $22 to $28 per hour.
