Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim invites applicants for an Intern position in our Material and Analytical Sciences team at the Ridgefield, CT facility. The intern will develop AI-based image analysis tools to extract quantitative particle size information from small-scale crystallization experiments and study how crystallization conditions affect particle growth to inform process development.

The role requires current undergraduate, graduate, or advanced degree student in good standing; GPA 3.0+ preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be an active undergraduate, graduate, or advanced-degree student in good academic standing.
• Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship.
• Overall GPA 3.0+ (last completed term) preferred.
• Major or minor in related field of internship.
• Undergrad students must have completed at least 12 credit hours; grad/advanced degree students 9 credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-based image analysis tools to extract particle size from crystallization experiments.
• Examine how crystallization conditions influence particle growth for process development.
• Develop experimental and digital workflows for data-driven isolation process design.
