Job summary

Compeer Financial is seeking collaborative, innovative and dynamic interns to be a part of our Top Workplace culture. This paid internship operates with a hybrid model, offering up to 50% work from home and flexible schedules.

The internship runs full-time through the summer of 2027, based in Bloomington, Edwards, or Monmouth, IL. Interns must provide housing and transportation; Compeer will cover business-related travel expenses and offer learning and development programs.

• Working toward a bachelor's degree in agricultural business, agricultural economics or business administration (2+ years completed).
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and written/verbal skills.
• Proven client service and teamwork abilities.
• Understanding of credit processing, accounting and finance basics.

This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This intern will work full-time through the summer of 2027. The internship is located out of either our Bloomington, IL; Edwards, IL; Monmouth, IL office locations. If pursuing internship credit through your university, it is your responsibility to consult with your advisor and review the internship's job description to ensure it meets the minimum eligibility requirements.

Essential Functions :

• Challenged to learn a significant amount of information during the course of the internship and take initiative to apply this information.
• Work independently with general supervision of day to day operations while taking initiative and complete responsibilities as assigned.
• Internally, work closely with the Credit team leader and other team members. Will also have frequent contact with other functions throughout the organization to exchange information and clarify or verify information. Externally, have contact with clients in providing an additional level of client service as needed. In all contacts, our interns are expected to present a professional image of Compeer Financial..

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be working towards completing a bachelor's degree in agricultural business, agricultural economics or business administration, with at least two years completed.
• Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, verbal and written communication and influencing skills are required.
• Proven client service skills and effective team skills are essential.
• Knowledge of farm production methods and products and a general understanding of farm business management and finance preferred.
• Demonstrate effective team skills.
• Understanding of and ability to use various computer, both business and financial, applications is required.
• Solid understanding of credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles and practices, and credit analysis procedures.

How we will take care of you:

Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Base Pay

$19 - $20 USD
