Job summary

The Clinton Foundation's Clinton Policy Institute seeks a Graduate Intern to support research and policy work across children’s wellbeing, democratic resilience, health, and economic security. About the Opportunity

The Graduate Intern supports the research and policy work of the Clinton Policy Institute (CPI) across CPI's core areas of focus, including children's wellbeing, democratic resilience, health, and economic security. Working under the direction of the supervising staff member, the Intern conducts background research, tracks and summarizes relevant policy developments, and helps produce written materials that inform CPI's publications, briefings, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a part-time, paid position intended for a current graduate student pursuing a degree in public policy, public health, or a related field. The role offers hands-on exposure to the policy research process at a think tank and the opportunity to contribute substantively to work spanning multiple issue areas. The scope is primarily supportive and research-oriented; the Intern does not supervise staff or exercise independent authority over Center operations, but the quality and reliability of the Intern's work directly strengthens the products and initiatives of the team.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct research on policy topics across CPI's focus areas - children's wellbeing, democratic resilience, women's health and health policy, and economic inclusion - synthesizing academic, legal, and policy sources into clear, usable summaries
• Track and summarize relevant legislation, regulations, court decisions, and policy developments at the federal and state levels, flagging items of significance to the team and maintaining tracker and notes as needed
• Draft, fact-check, and help edit written materials - including briefings, blog posts, and sections of longer reports
• Support the preparation of materials for convenings and other events, including principal briefings, note-taking, and follow-up documentation, and provide general research and administrative support to the team as needed
• Compile and analyze data on policy outcomes, access, and disparities to support the team's research; assist with development and copyediting of materials prepared for publication

Minimum Qualifications

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 0 to 2 years of professional experience in the field, currently pursuing graduate degree in policy, public health, law, international relations, government, or a related field of study required

Compensation & Benefits

Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $17/hr depending on the experience you bring. This role is not eligible for overtime pay. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely.
