Job summary

Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking qualified college students to join the Construction Services Team on complex highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects in the Harrisburg and Allentown areas.

This internship focuses on construction inspection and construction management for students pursuing Civil Engineering or Construction Management degrees. You will monitor projects on-site, support the Site Supervisor and Construction Manager, and assist with submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related college program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral, written, and communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience in design, inspection, or construction management of heavy highway/bridge/facilities/airport projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance monitoring of highway, bridge, aviation, and facility projects and documenting that they are being constructed in conformance with the plans and specifications.
• Provide direct support to the Site Supervisor, Construction Manager, or Construction Engineer.
• Assist with project submissions, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Construction Services Team.

Urban is growing and seeking qualified college students to work as part of our Construction Services Team on complex highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects throughout the greater Harrisburg and Allentown areas. This is an excellent opportunity for students working on a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in construction inspection and construction management.
