Job summary

Langan International, LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Intern or Co-op to join its Information Technology discipline in Parsippany, NJ. This role focuses on researching and documenting cyber security best practices and tools, offering hands-on exposure to IT security projects within an engineering firm.

The position supports qualified students pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in cyber security, CS, or IT, with opportunities to gain practical experience and contribute to enterprise security

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
• Ability to work at least 25 hours per week during the semester.
• Certifications preferred but not required: Blue Team Level 1 Certification, eJPT, eCPPT, AZ-900, AZ-500.
• Active participation on cybersecurity learning platforms such as Tryhackme, Hackthebox.
• Interest and/or experience in offensive security.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to provide an outstanding work product with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to proactively organize, prioritize, and multitask effectively in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills; and
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience working on Information Technologycyber security projects for an engineering consulting firm.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm’s annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.

Pay Range

$25—$32 USD
