Job summary

LerroSarbey PLLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Intern for Client Accounting & Advisory Services. This role supports outsourced accounting across diverse industries and offers exposure to GAAP/GAAS and financial reporting processes.

You will assist with reconciliations, ledgers, and monthly/quarterly/annual statements while collaborating with seniors and managers on budgeting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting using cloud-based tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in Public Accounting preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related assurance tools.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
• Solid accounting/auditing knowledge including US GAAP and GAAS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing outsourced accounting services to clients across various industries.
• Prepare and maintain client financial records, including reconciliations, general ledgers, and financial reporting packages.
• Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Collaborate with seniors and managers to deliver advisory services, including budgeting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting.
• Work with cloud-based accounting platforms and related technology to deliver client services efficiently.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure accuracy of records.
• Gain exposure to advisory engagements such as process improvement, financial planning, and system implementations.
• Manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and quality of work.
• Uphold high standards of professional conduct, ethics, and client service.

Education
