Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Science, Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • GPA 3.30 or higher, preferred.
  • No prior professional experience required; laboratory, research, or internship experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in forensic engineering, failure analysis, or litigation support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with engineering analysis or CAD software a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be available to travel for field work.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with field investigations and site inspections under supervision of experienced consultants.
  • Performs engineering research, data collection, and analysis to support ongoing projects.
  • Assists in preparation of technical reports and documents.
  • Participates in laboratory testing and analysis activities.
  • Supports consultants in organizing and analyzing evidence and technical data.
  • Attend client meetings and internal technical reviews as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support to the multidisciplinary consulting team.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
Education / Certifications / Licenses
  • Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Science, Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 3.30 GPA or higher, preferred.
Experience
  • No prior professional experience required; laboratory, research, or internship experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in forensic engineering, failure analysis, or litigation support.
Other Technical & Non-Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with engineering analysis or CAD software a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative on assigned tasks.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be available to travel for field work.
Physical Demands

This role requires frequently sitting or standing for extended periods of time and occasionally lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, with infrequent lifting up to 75 pounds. The work regularly requires bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and maintaining balance. This position frequently requires handling and operating specialized tools and equipment and working in a variety of physical positions, including occasionally accessing tight or confined spaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment

Work is performed in both office and field environments, including active construction sites, industrial settings, and damaged or compromised structures.
