Job summary

Bush Construction is seeking an Architecture Intern to join our Davenport, IA team for the summer of 2027. You will assist with schematic space programming, site planning, elevations, sections, and details under the guidance of Architecture leadership.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an Architecture degree, with basic knowledge of building codes and documentation. Prior Revit, AutoCAD, and Procore exposure is a plus, and collaboration is a core part of this role.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture or a related field, or recently graduated.
• Basic knowledge of building codes, construction systems, and all phases of architectural documentation.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in schematic space programming and site planning.
• Prepare elevations, sections, and architectural details for projects.
• Support the design team with creative processes to improve production efficiencies.

We’re looking for an Intern - Architecture to join our team in Davenport, Iowa during Summer 2027 and learn under the guidance of our Architecture leadership. This role will assist in designing schematic space programming & site planning, along with preparing elevations, sections and architectural details for projects. Your position will assist with innovative and creative processes that are tailored to enhance efficiencies & accuracies in production. You’ll be part of a design team that is responsible for creating new & innovative spaces!

The pay range for this position is $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

• You’re currently attending school for, or have recently graduated with, a degree in Architecture or a related field.
• You possess basic knowledge of building codes, building construction systems and all phases of the architectural document production.
• You’re a collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Accuracy & collaboration are your middle names. You’re comfortable checking your work, enjoy creative opportunities with a team and have great time management skills.
• Previous Revit, Microsoft & AutoCAD experience. Any Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, & Procore is a plus!
