Job summary

Amcor is seeking an AI Innovation Engineer Intern to define, design, and prototype AI-enabled products and intelligent workflows. You will work independently or with a small team to deliver measurable business value while aligning with enterprise strategy and security standards.

You will lead development of scalable AI solutions using Azure, Microsoft Fabric, LLMs, and APIs, define product requirements, experiments, and evaluation methods, and ensure CI/CD, governance, and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business field is required.
• Experience in software or data engineering roles is preferred.
• Proficiency in C#, Python, TS/JavaScript, React, APIs, cloud architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, CI/CD.
• Experience with Claude Code or Codex for development.
• Strong AI/ML knowledge including LLMs, embeddings, orchestration, and enterprise patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and prototype build of AI-enabled products and workflows.
• Develop scalable AI solutions using Azure, Fabric, LLMs, APIs, data pipelines.
• Define product requirements, UX, experiments, and evaluation frameworks.
• Ensure security, governance, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and ops for enterprise AI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and responsible AI practices.

About the role

The AI Innovation Engineer Intern is responsible for defining, designing, and prototyping AI-enabled products, applications, agents, and intelligent workflows that deliver measurable business value. Working independently or within a small team, the role develops innovative AI solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, governance frameworks, scalability requirements, security standards, and responsible AI principles.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Lead the design, development,and prototype buildof AI-enabled products, applications, APIs, and intelligent workflows aligned withthe project'sobjectives.
• Integratedevelopment ofscalable AI solutions using Azure, Microsoft Fabric, LLMs,AIagents, APIs, semantic models, data pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
• Define product requirements, user experiences, experimentation methods, and evaluation frameworks to deliver measurable business value.
• Implementnecessary security, governance, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, observability, documentation, and operational support practices for enterprise AI solutions.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, and data stakeholders to drive innovation, userengagement, andsecure,responsible AI practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business fieldrequired; advanced degrees, Microsoft certifications, and AI-assisted development tool experience preferred
• First experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related technical roles
• Proficiencyin C#, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, APIs, cloud architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
• Proficiencyusing Claude Code or Codex for application development and data engineering
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, copilots,prompt/contextengineering, orchestration, experimentation, evaluation methods, and enterprise AI integration patterns.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform,andGit; manufacturingor supply chain experiencein a multinational company ispreferred.
