Sephora is offering an AI Automation–WMS & DC Systems internship designed to accelerate warehouse automation and streamline distribution center workflows. You will collaborate with Warehouse Systems, Distribution Operations, Supply Chain, and AI teams to design and deploy AI-driven tools that improve efficiency and reliability.

The role focuses on building AI-powered tools, analyzing data to identify bottlenecks, and supporting deployment in staging and production environments.

• Strong foundation in Linux, networking, APIs, Git, and cloud/containers.
• Ability to document work and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Eligibility: graduating 2027 or 2028; U.S. residency; relocation after graduation.

Position title:

Intern, AI Automation–WMS & DC Systems

Your role at Sephora...

As the Intern, AI Automation–WMS & DC Systems , you will help accelerate the automation of warehouse management systems and distribution center (DC) workflows. This role will work closely with Warehouse Systems, Distribution Operations, Supply Chain, and AI teams to design, develop, and deploy intelligent automation and AI‑driven tools that streamline distribution operations, eliminate manual bottlenecks, and enhance overall system reliability and fulfillment performance.

What you will accomplish:

• Build AI-powered tools, automated scripts, and monitoring dashboards that enhance operational visibility and reduce manual intervention.
• Analyze operational, system, and WMS data to identify process bottlenecks and automation opportunities.
• Support the integration, testing, validation, and deployment of automation scripts and AI tools in staging and production environments.
• Assist with root‑source analysis, system troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives for core DC technologies.
• Present automation prototypes, technical findings, and optimization recommendations to engineering and operations stakeholders.

Qualifications & experience:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Basic understanding of Linux, networking, APIs, Git, cloud computing, containers, or CI/CD concepts through coursework, projects, or prior experience.

Ability to break down problems, learn unfamiliar technology, document work clearly, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Exposure to one or more cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code or CI/CD tools, containers, observability concepts, secure software development, or AI/ML platform technologies.

Eligibility requirements:

Graduating in 2027 or 2028 (undergraduate or graduate degree)

Work schedule must align with 9-5PM, Pacific Standard Time

Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.

Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions*

What You’ll Get:

The target hourly pay for this position is $30.00- $30.00. The actual hourly pay offered depends on various factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
