Job summary

Keystone Cooperative in the United States seeks an Agronomy Student Coordinator to lead a regional intern team, review scouting reports, and deliver diagnostic field support throughout the internship season. You will help educate scouts, travel across the territory, and collaborate with Ag Tech Leads on projects.

The role requires outdoors work, strong organizational skills, and prior scouting experience. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are essential for travel and field visits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review scouting reports for accuracy of weed, disease, insect observations and field data.
• Report observations to Ag Tech Leads.
• Provide agronomic and technical diagnostic support to interns remotely and in person.
• Collaborate with Ag Tech Leads on special projects.
• Attend intern events and weekly check-ins.
• Travel 100% within territory; 60% in office, 40% in training/fields.
• Support interns during internship season with flexible scheduling and development activities.

Position Overview

Agronomy Student Coordinators manage a team of regional Crop Technician Interns. Management duties include reviewing scouting reports, providing diagnostic field support, weekly dispatch of fields, and educating scouts throughout internship season. Other duties include working with Ag Tech Leads on special projects and attending weekly check-in meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to

• Review scouting reports to ensure accuracy of weed/disease/insect observations, growth staging, stand counts, nutrient deficiencies, and other field anomalies. This also includes grammatical accuracy.
• Report observations to Ag Tech Leads.
• Provide agronomic and technical diagnostic support to interns remotely and directly.
• Work with Ag Tech Leads on special projects throughout summer.
• Attend specialized intern events as scheduled.
• Scout fields as necessary to assist with acre completion each week.
• 100% travel in territory.
• 60% in office, 40% in training/tours/fields.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Weekly professional development activities.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time and under all weather conditions.
• Above average organizational skills, ability to understand new concepts, and learn quickly.
• Complete work with little to no supervision in a timely manner; self-motivated.
• Students with previous scouting experience required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to use laptop, iPad, GPS software, and field equipment.

Compensation

• Hourly (competitive wage).
