Job summary

Baker Group in Des Moines area is seeking an entry-level professional to provide support to multiple business units and help maintain the Customer for Life initiative. You will assist project managers with project tracking, scheduling, and documentation while gaining real-world experience.

Required are a current pursuit of a degree in construction management, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in construction management, mechanical, electrical engineering OR equivalent experience.
• General knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical system components.
• Strong organization, prioritization and adaptability skills.
• Must have proficient Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with and support project managers on the implementation of projects, including inventory tracking, project scheduling, last planner task and internal punch lists.
• Gain knowledge of the systems and services the Company provides its customers via instructor-led and online training.
• Work to acquire understanding of standard issues, develop and maintain documentation, identify trends, and make suggestions to improve support processes.
• Partner with project managers in the continuation of business development and building relationships.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to maintain project schedules.
• Assist project managers in supporting field staff by providing accurate and on time project information.

PURPOSE

Provide support to the Company’s business units while gaining real-world work experience. Maintain and grow the “Customer for Life” concept for existing and new customers. Performs related work as required.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
