Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Timing Product Test Engineering Intern to work with seasoned engineers on cutting-edge timing semiconductor products from development through high-volume manufacturing.

You will contribute to test methodology, data analysis, automation, and product characterization in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Gain hands-on experience across the semiconductor product lifecycle, working with mixed-signal timing devices and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented engineering environment.
  • Understanding of basic electronics and semiconductor fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document production test strategies for mixed-signal timing devices.
  • Analyze characterization and production test data to identify trends and yield opportunities.
  • Support silicon post-silicon activities and debugging.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of ATE test programs.
  • Generate technical reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Support the release of new timing products from development to production.

Description

Join the Skyworks Timing Solutions team and work alongside experienced Product and Test Engineers to develop, validate, and optimize cutting-edge timing semiconductor products. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the complete semiconductor product lifecycle, from 1st silicon through high-volume manufacturing.

As a Timing Product Test Engineering Intern, you will contribute to test methodology development, data analysis, automation, and product characterization while collaborating with product and test teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and document production test strategies for mixed-signal timing devices.
  • Analyze characterization and production test data to identify trends, yield opportunities, and potential quality issues.
  • Support silicon post-silicon activities and debug activiites.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test programs.
  • Generate technical reports and present findings to cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Support the release of new timing products from development into production.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Related technical discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented engineering environment.
  • Understanding of basic electronics and semiconductor fundamentals.
Desired Experience and Skills
  • Knowledge of programming digital and mixed-signal circuit concepts.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
