Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking an experienced yard equipment operator to move intermodal units safely in a busy rail/terminal environment. You will operate yard hostlers, forklifts, and related equipment according to established procedures to keep the unit flow smooth.

You must communicate clearly via radio with drivers and ground crews, work as part of a safety‑first team, and coordinate movements to maintain safe, efficient operations and terminal throughput.

Qualifications

• Hands-on equipment operation experience in industrial or logistics settings.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict procedures.
• Clear communication skills for radio and yard system coordination.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and position intermodal units according to established procedures.
• Perform safety inspections and follow all safety rules, policies, and operating practices.
• Use radio and/or yard systems to communicate with drivers, operators, and ground crews.
• Work closely with drivers and team members to coordinate unit movement.
• Maintain safe, efficient operations while supporting overall terminal throughput.
