Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking a Terminal Manager for our Rancho Dominguez, CA terminal to lead a fast-paced team and drive operational excellence in intermodal and drayage. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of management in intermodal/drayage, knowledge of customs regulations, strong communication, and solid computer skills (MS Office and AS400).

You will oversee staff, recruiting, dispatch, policies, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years management in an Intermodal/Drayage environment.
• Knowledge of customs/international shipping regulations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and AS400.
• Problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Energetic, competitive and career oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of staff including supervision, clerical, and labor.
• Recruit company drivers.
• Manage dispatch orders and moves.
• Oversee internal operating policies and procedures.
• Interact with customers daily to ensure satisfaction.
• Accountable for monthly P&L review.
• Produce reports on production, quality, timeliness, staffing, billing, and discrepancies.
