CSX Corporation invites rising seniors and graduate students to join its Operations Control Center Internship at CSX Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. This 10-week program runs May 24–July 30, 2027, on-site with housing support for eligible interns.

You will collect and analyze data on gate errors and create dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders. You'll work with cross-functional teams on capital projects, support process improvements, and gain exposure to executive leadership

Qualifications

• Rising senior or graduate student with expected graduation Dec 2027 or May 2028.
• GPA at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Pursuing a degree in Logistics, SCM, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Available to work up to 40 hours per week for 10 weeks.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collect and compile operational data related to gate errors and related metrics.
• Analyze data to identify root causes, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop reports and visual dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Partner with OCC team on capital projects involving systems development or enhancement.
• Document procedures and help track performance impacts of improvements.
• Present data-driven insights to OCC leadership and other departments as needed.

Operations Control Center Internship Summary:

The Operations Control Center (OCC) Intern will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making within the organization. This position will focus on compiling, analyzing, and reporting data related to gate errors while identifying trends and process improvement opportunities. The intern will also collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital projects, particularly those related to system enhancements and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications

• Being a rising senior or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027, or May 2028.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Be available to work up to 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week program.
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate students actively pursuing a master's degree in a relevant field.
• 3.2 or 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Previous internship, co-op, part time, or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, volunteer activities, or campus involvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
