ConGlobal is seeking a qualified Chassis Mechanic in Albuquerque, NM to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain intermodal chassis for safety and performance. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, compliance with DOT regulations, and a commitment to quality work.

Qualifications

• Experience in chassis/trailer repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of brake systems, lights, tires, and framework.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain intermodal chassis, including braking systems, lights, suspensions, landing gear, tires, and structural components
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on chassis and related trailer equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and DOT inspections
• Weld, cut, and fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs
• Complete accurate repair documentation, work orders, and inspection forms
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure all work complies with DOT regulations, company standards, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure timely and effective repairs
• Assist with yard moves or minor container repairs as needed
