Job summary

ASB Freight Co. is seeking a Regional Intermodal Truck Driver to operate throughout Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with home weekends and a sign-on bonus. Expect average annual earnings of $86,000–$95,000 and pay by CPM ($0.64–$0.69).

Drivers can select their start time, enjoy a consistent schedule, and deliver mostly containerized freight with some live loads. Training is provided and support staff are on-site to help with operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Hazmat endorsement costs reimbursed by the account.
• Must meet DOT and company hiring requirements.
• Competent with regional intermodal routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate regional intermodal runs in MI, IL and IN.
• Maintain safe, on-time deliveries with no-touch freight when applicable.
• Follow preplanned routes and start times to support a consistent weekly schedule.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.

We're hiring Class A CDL drivers for a regional intermodal account operating throughout Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.

This opportunity offers consistent container freight, preplanned loads, and a Monday–Friday workweek. Drivers can select their preferred start time and maintain a consistent schedule while enjoying weekly home time.

Regional Routes & Freight

Drivers transport intermodal containers between the Detroit market and Chicago-area rail yards.

• Operating states: MI, IL, and IN
• Pickups and deliveries at established rail ramps throughout the Chicagoland area
• Consistent regional lanes with a smaller customer base
• Loads planned in advance to help minimize downtime
• Drivers generally remain within a day's drive of home

Equipment & Driver Support

• Automatic transmission tractors
• Mid-roof conventional trucks averaging under two years old
• Toll passes provided for optional toll-road routing
• On-site management and operational support
• Drivers may take their assigned truck home during scheduled time off
• Paid training arrangements available; details provided during onboarding

Driver Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
