Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking a professional truck driver to join our in-person team in Baltimore, MD. You will meet delivery schedules, perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, and maintain precise logs while ensuring regulatory compliance and clear communication with dispatch and customers.

Requirements include a CDL Class A, 6+ months experience, and the ability to obtain TWIC and Hazmat within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more tractor trailer experience
• Valid CDL Class A license
• Must obtain TWIC & Hazmat within 60 days from start date
• Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation tools
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients

Responsibilities

• Meet delivery schedules efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and other expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
