Job summary

Cambridge Developmental Center in Cambridge, OH is hiring an Intermittent Therapeutic Program Worker/Direct Support Professional. You will assist residents with daily living, support therapy activities, and help with planning and documentation in a 24/7 trauma-informed care setting.

There is mandatory overtime and a union (OCSEA). A valid driver’s license is preferred and the center offers medical coverage beginning the month after start date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Demonstrates empathy, patience, and reliability in care duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Implement active treatment activities and supervise recreation/therapy sessions.
• Assist with planning and executing shopping and vocational activities.
• Complete daily and monthly documentation, including incident reports and medication reactions.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain safe living environments.
• Redirect unsafe actions and support positive outcomes for residents.
